Video Production
Displaying my directing, capturing and editing skills these are some of the short films I have created. All these projects involve creating a storyboard, combine a range of shot types and make use of appropriate locations and lighting. They were then edited in Adobe After Effects or Premier Pro and had added adjustment layers, text and music.

My Body Isn't A Temple
We are invited into the mind of Aliana whilst she struggles with disordered eating from the age of seven to nineteen. Every thought and feeling she experiences is crafted into a poem written by me and then hand drawn to bring her story to life. Aliana is your sister, friend, neighbour or a stranger you passed yesterday on the street. She is someone who feels alone and helpless in today’s manic society.
My main aim is to raise awareness for the silent struggle that is an eating
disorder and to show people that they aren’t fighting alone. In this social
media age, what your body looks like seems more important than who
you actually are, which causes millions of people worldwide to struggle
with eating. My hope is that putting Aliana’s story out into the world will
encourage people to reach out to a friend and keep fighting the monster
called Ana Rexia.

The Explosion that is Eveline
My finalised title sequence had to include a range of creative and technical skills making a seamless video to establish the visual look of a new hypothetical TV programme. Beforehand, I researched existing title sequences in my genre to get a feel for the style and route I wanted to take. I chose to create a sequence for a show based around a schoolgirl who radiates energy and joy but has never found her footing anywhere until now. I chose to portray this with an illustration style which I haven’t explored before, so I was hesitant, but I believe the drawings I created in Adobe Illustrator looked effective and fitting for the genre. The video was edited in Adobe After Effects using a range of post-production techniques such as a 2.5d space.

Expect the Unexpected
“What subject do you know a lot about, that people might not expect?”
Using this premise, my chosen field was SFX makeup and I planned, filmed and then edited the video, adding on screen captions and narration with Premier Pro. This is a topic that many people don’t know about and seem to have numerous questions so I felt it would be really interesting to explore. This is a hobby that introduced me to the Adobe software and led me to create my own channels. Managing my own socials and setting up a content schedule taught me how to set and meet my own deadlines and how to communicate with viewers and clients.

Second Attempt
This assignment consisted of making a fictional film piece including a randomly generated object, genre and ending line. This randomness allowed me to create a super unique and imaginative plot. I was given Sci-Fi as my genre, a ball as my object and the ending line ‘so long partner’. I was inspired by ‘Ready Player One’ and ‘In Time’, so wanted to create a dystopian world where my characters (my mum and dad) had to pay to live in a ‘normal world’ as theirs was destroyed. They had balls inserted in their heads (which I used my makeup skills to design) that were buttons allowing them to pass through to the other dimension to have a 'Second Attempt'. One of my characters didn’t have enough money to continue in this fantasy word so has to stay behind and meet his dreadful fate. This was edited in Premier Pro and narration, on-screen text and graphics were added.
